I had fun yesterday watching the birds at the feeder. It takes a while for the birds to come back after I park in a chair with a view. The female cardinal swooped past but was too fast for me. This guy hung about a bit. He got this beetle and came back for a sunflower seed. A finch couple is a regular patron as well as a mockingbird. There are other birds who try to sneak in, but the regulars try to fight them off if they are nearby. I got rained out in several storms. The finches came back while it was still sprinkling.
